7 Winter to Spring Outfits!

Spring is nearing. Maybe not in all places.

70 degrees. Perfect weather. Literally. I am so lucky to be experiencing this in January.

I guess that is one of the perks in California. It sort of covers the stupidly high taxes that we are experiencing this year. I will have to get over it by going for a jog.

Or shopping.

I decided to create outfits based on winter essentials, like a white cable knit sweater or biker boots, and using them for the beginning of Spring. So these outfits are targeted for the 57-70 degree weather.. not cold enough for Winter and not warm enough for Spring.

Again, these outfits are all affordable! Most of these cost less than $100!

This sophisticated wild side. Cable knit sweater with green wool shorts and biker boots. Add that wild cheetah print, the classy cream clutch, and sweater tights to keep your legs warm!

Plaid is always in, in my opinion. Wear white jeans and brown biker boots with a black or dark scarf. I threw in a patterned scarf, just for some flavor.

Nothing says spring like Floral. Switch it up with AE floral jeans [that are on sale for $29 as of 1/31] a chambray shirt and red scarf. Keep other accessories simple and neutral!

Meet Sweet and Tough with some Leather and Lace. Find a lace top and feminine maxi skirt and pair it with a leather coat and biker boots!

xblood jeans and Parka jacket work well together with a white cable knit sweater and ankle boots. You will be warm in this outfit before the warm Spring arrives!

Wear this outfit to school as the weather warms up! By wearing a maxi, you can put on any type of shoe you want depending on how cold - ballet flats to boots and thermal socks! Oxblood maxi skirt and a cable knit sweater is the perfect combination of sweet and casual.

USA flag inspired outfit. Cable knit white sweater with a jean American Flag denim vest and red slouchy beanie + your favorite biker boots!

How to Wear Scarves: The Basics!

If it is cold, scarves should be your best friend.

They are stylish, but also keep you warm. They are pretty, but also make your natural beauty stand out. They are comfortable, but also fashionably don't allow you to get sick.

I asked my super stylish friend to show off how she adds her beautiful scarves to change the look of her outfits! These are her scarf basics. Aren't they so cute?! :)

5 Casual & Cute Dress Outfits!

I know this is absurd, because it is January, but where I live, the high was 70 degrees!
When did it get so warm!? Must've been cold for all of but three weeks. [ I can't complain! ]

So as much as I love the Autumn style, there is something about putting on that adorable casual dress that you can wear out with your girls, go shopping, attend class, or even a lunch date!

Now being a college student, I am always on a budget! Not a single one of these items cost more than $50! That's what I like to see!

Dresses are so magical. That's all.

It's Always Greener...

Like blue, green looks great on virtually any skin type. [except Ogres or Witches] So go out and buy that olive green dress you've always wanted, and pair a messenger bag with neutral accessories. That hat will keep your head from getting sunburned as you being acquainted with sun again.

 Line Up!

Chevron has been making it's way into the spotlight in the last few years, but is really making a standout impression this Spring! I find keeping the accessories neutral or in the same palette best. Grab a navy bag and a cool bracelet watch from Target to complete the look!

Let's Take a Walk.

Floral is nothing new in Spring, but I just love how warm these flowers are. There are literally tons of colors! Keep accessories simple so you shine! I love those red feather earrings.

Wave your Flag!

This dress wasn't suppose to be patriotic, but it is! I am obsessed with the American Flag biker boots paired with the classy floppy hat. It is such an unexpected move! Not to mention that this dress is universally flattering! The red lipstick with the white and blue - USA! :)

 To Infinity and Beyond!

This isn't necessarily casual, but this Galaxy look is starting to grow on me. The rebellious bodycon with biker boots, the sassy high to low skirt and crop top, and classy A-line dress with flat - all are cute! I would wear all of these! Those heels are spectacular!

5 Best Activities in Maui, Hawaii!

Gumusservi, Eunoia, Heliophilia. You can look forward to these feelings when you visit Maui!

You can hike up 10,000 feet to the volcano and jump above the clouds. You can go snorkeling, parasailing, or jet skiing in the ocean. You can drink a scrumptious Mai Tai on the beach.

Paradise. That was literally my thought when I vacationed there.

I embarked on many adventures while in Maui, but some of them stood out more than the rest.

1. Visit the Blowhole!

I admit, this place is difficult to find, but well worth it! The waves from the ocean get sucked up through the lava rocks and rockets out water! This picture doesn't show much, but if you catch the blowhole on high tide, you will be in for one heck of a show. When you walk off the highway down to the blowhole, it will be on your left side. Don't forget to look to the right though! You will find a heart carving in the lava <3

2. Jump off the Twin Falls!

The Twin Falls are two waterfalls of different heights on the same trail. One is a 15 foot jump, the other 42 feet. Guess which one I did? [yes, that is me jumping on the picture below] If you want to visit the larger waterfall, it is a 20-30 minute walk to the falls. Once you reach your destination, there will be a pool of rocks [seen below] that are not smooth. Wear shoes! Biggest regret of the whole trip was not wearing shoes in this rocky pool. To get to the top, you will have to hike a little ways uphill, but to get to the falls to take that leap of faith - priceless.

This is the view from the smaller fall.

3. Hike to the Needle!
Iao Valley is smack in the middle of the island. Do a fun workout by hiking, have a picnic, or follow the stream for some photo moments. Don't forget to hike upwards towards the Needle and explore the depths of the valleys and heights of the hills. There are plenty of off-road hikes, which are probably off limits, but they are quite beautiful.

4. Walk the Volcano

This volcano looks like Mars. Literally. The color of everything was unearthly. However, it was exquisitely stunning. We drove up to the top and hiked the rest. It was incredible, because you are above the cloud layer. You feel as though you are floating. The air is thin yet fresh, warm yet crisp. Wear warm layers, because the wind will reach your bones!

5. Stroll down the Beach
If you are staying on a hotel on the beach, go for a stroll. There are many people playing cricket, frisbee, or golf. Restaurants and stores line your path for luxury or local goods.
Have a delicious cocktail while laying out in the sun.

Find a sandy beach, go swimming, or just get some color.
